“Sub-Zero stopped cooling overnight. Marcus arrived in the booked window, diagnosed an evaporator fan in 15 minutes, replaced it in another 30. Saved $4k worth of food. Exactly the quote.”

EPA-Certified Tech On Call
Refrigerator problems we repair
The most frequent failures we get called for in Northeast Georgia, in rough order of frequency. Most are fixed in a single same-day visit using parts we carry on the van.
Refrigerator not cooling
Compartment is warm. Compressor running but not pulling temperature. Common: evap fan, defrost system, sealed-system leak.
Freezer not freezing
Ice cream is soft. Frost on coils, warm air leak, or sealed-system issue. Often paired with poor refrigerator cooling.
Ice maker not working
No ice, hollow cubes, or jamming. Frozen water line, failed water inlet valve, broken auger motor, control board.
Leaking water
Water on the floor or under the crisper. Clogged defrost drain, cracked drain pan, loose water-line connection, faulty filter housing.
Loud noise or buzzing
Buzzing, clicking, grinding, or humming louder than usual. Evap fan, condenser fan, or compressor on its way out — diagnose before it fails.
Frost build-up
Ice forming in the freezer or on the back wall. Defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or control board. Affects cooling efficiency.
Compressor not running
Fridge is silent and warm. Start relay, capacitor, or compressor itself. Sealed-system work requires EPA 608 certification — we have it.
Door seal & gasket
Door won't seal, condensation around edges, runs constantly. Replace gasket, realign hinges, or address frame warping.
Water dispenser broken
No water, low flow, or non-stop dispensing. Water filter, dispenser switch, water inlet valve, or frozen supply line.
Display / error codes
Cryptic error codes, blank panel, control buttons unresponsive. Main control board, user interface, or sensor harness.
Running constantly
Compressor never cycles off, temperature OK but always running. Door seal, dirty condenser coils, defrost thermostat, low refrigerant.
Light not working
Interior bulb is dark. Bulb, door switch, or — on newer LED units — the entire LED assembly. Quick fix on most models.

What customers say
318 refrigerator jobs reviewed across Google, BBB, Yelp, and HomeAdvisor. Filtered to fridge repairs only — full reviews are public on each source.
“Ice maker was making a horrible noise. They didn't push for replacement — said the dispenser auger was worn and replaced just that part. $220 vs the $1,400 quote my warranty company gave me.”
“Samsung French-door was leaking water from the dispenser line. Tech ran a frozen-tube diagnostic, thawed and replaced the water valve. Honest about prevention — adjusted the leveling so it wouldn't repeat.”
Questions before you book?
The questions our dispatcher hears most often.
Is it worth fixing a 10-year-old refrigerator?
Usually yes — if the repair is under 50% of replacement cost. Modern fridges last 14–17 years on average; many Sub-Zero units last 20+. We'll be honest if a repair doesn't make sense.
How much does a service call cost?
We provide a flat-rate written quote before any work begins, so you approve the price before we start — no surprise math.
Why is EPA Section 608 certification important?
Federal law requires certification to handle refrigerant. Without 608, a technician cannot legally open the sealed system on your fridge. Many small operators don't have it; we always do.
How long does a typical fridge repair take?
Most repairs are completed in 45–90 minutes. If a part needs to be ordered, we typically return within 24–48 hours.
Do you carry parts for Sub-Zero on the van?
The 8 most common Sub-Zero failure parts, yes — fan motors, gaskets, defrost heaters, sensor probes. Sealed-system repairs require ordering from the Sub-Zero distribution center, typically 1–2 days.
What warranty do you provide?
All repairs are backed by a 3-month parts & labor warranty. If the same issue returns within 3 months, we return at no charge — including the trip and the diagnosis.
Will you save the food in my fridge?
Yes — first thing the tech does on a cooling job is move perishables to a cooler we bring, so you don't lose groceries while we work.
Do you offer same-day service?
Yes — same-day across most of our coverage area when you call before 12 PM. After 12 PM we typically book the next morning. Emergency commercial service is available after hours.
